Maximize Stormwater Efficiency
Pretreatment makes every stage of treatment more efficient by removing solids, oil and grit from stormwater before it flows into other water-quality components, or into treatment tanks, chambers and/or vaults. All HydroChain™ pretreatment products are available in different sizes and capacities, as detailed in product data sheets.
HYDROCHAIN PRIME SEPARATOR
The HydroChain Prime Separator captures trash, debris and floatables, and can be installed in concrete or fiberglass manholes. In addition to removing trash and debris, the hydrodynamic Prime Separator removes petroleum hydrocarbons, suspended solids and heavy metals.
HYDROCHAIN OIL INTERCEPTOR
Using the principles of Stoke’s Law and a horizontal flow pattern, the HydroChain Oil Interceptor provides high-efficiency performance for large volumes of stormwater, with oil rising to the top, and grit and sediment sinking to the bottom of the Xerxes by Shawcor fiberglass tank.
To simplify the process even more, the HydroChain Complete includes stormwater treatment components – a HydroChain Prime Separator and HydroChain Filter Cartridges – all within a watertight fiberglass Xerxes by Shawcor tank. When a project calls for more than one Complete, any number of HydroChain Complete tanks can be installed at the same site to manage and treat stormwater, and restore it to a clean, usable state.
HYDROCHAIN OIL-WATER SEPARATOR
With a fiberglass corrosion-resistant tank at the heart of the oil-water separator (OWS) design, a polypropylene vertical-tube matrix removes free-floating oils and settleable solids from oil-water mixtures. This design is able to meet specific site requirements for flow rates, emergency spill and oil storage while meeting a minimum effluent quality of 10ppm.
