With the increasing electric content in vehicles, wire and cable sensors are being exposed to higher temperatures in the engine department, emissions systems, commercial vehicle applications and electric vehicles.
Traditionally temperatures have been less than 135°C, but now industry applications are more frequently requiring temperatures above 150°C. The temperature range includes 175°C and 190°C-rated PVDF materials and goes up up to 220°C and even 260°C.
