​Heat shrink system for splice sealing products

The DERAY®-PSP 240-S is a heat shrink system designed to process adhesive lined heat shrink tubes on splice joints in batches of 5.
The stand-alone workstation is designed for applying splices assembled with DERAY®-Splice sealing products.

OPERATION

The DERAY®-PSP 240-S is equipped with one holder for manual insertion of up to 5 splices. Visual positioning aids make it easy to get the splices and heat shrink tubes positioned correctly. The shrink process starts automatically by closing the safety hood. Once the safety hood is locked, the pneumatically driven holder moves into the machine’s shrinking zone. The lower and upper IR heating elements start the heating process. After the shrink process the safety hood opens automatically. If preselected, a cooling process is activated. The cooling helps to ensure that the splices are soon ready for further processing and to quickly harden the emerging adhesive.
