In November 2018, one of the deadliest wildfires in United States history destroyed 153,000 acres of land in Paradise, California—resulting in 85 civilian fatalities and $16.5 B in total damage.
The important cleanup effort began almost immediately, led by 1,500 personnel and 390 trailers stationed at the FEMA Tucson Ridge Base Camp. The wildfire cleanup is estimated to take up to two years. Shawcor’s latest addition, ZCL | Xerxes wastewater tanks, will be used to store and help treat their onsite wastewater during this time.
Shawcor is providing four ZCL | Xerxes, 40,000 gallon, single-wall wastewater tanks offering 160,000 gallons of storage capacity. Each tank will connect with critical wastewater treatment systems on site at the Tucson Ridge Base Camp.
One of the reasons ZCL | Xerxes tanks were chosen for this project is our ability to meet the cleanup project’s aggressive turnaround time. The sales team worked diligently with the Anaheim manufacturing facility to manufacture and ship the wastewater tanks within a three-week period from order confirmation.
