Dual-Layer Non-Slip Fusion Bond Epoxy Coating

Non-slip FBE systems provide a durable rough textured outer surface applied over a corrosion resistant FBE layer for a variety of service applications which may include uses such as a corrosion resistant underlayer for concrete coated pipe, offshore laying, or other handling applications requiring a higher friction coefficient. The special non-slip outer layer is applied in-line directly over the corrosion resistant FBE underlayer, minimizing additional costs.

Long Term Corrosion Protection

  • The FBE primer layer has excellent adhesion to steel and provides superior long term corrosion resistance and protection of pipelines operating at moderate temperatures for the designed life
  • Superior adhesion properties provide excellent resistance to cathodic disbondment which reduces the total cost of cathodic protection during the operation of the pipeline

Improved Handling Performance

  • Dual-layer non-slip FBE provides a high quality textured surface to prevent slippage of concrete coatings as well as for other installation conditions where a higher friction coefficient is required
  • The product can also be combined with other FBE systems such as a dual-layer FBE for more demanding applications during pipe transportation and pipeline construction

Improved Handling Characteristics

The non-slip FBE outer layer does not restrict bending of the pipe for installation.

The product can be manufactured in a single plant or in multiple plant locations to improve project logistics.
