Norbornene System

XtremeTemp CC is a fast cure, flexible norbornene thermal insulation material suitable for hot wet operation up to 180°C.

XtremeTemp CC is characterized by its low thermal conductivity and high ductility, making it ideally suited for any wet insulation application, including subsea production systems, fittings and bends. The material is applied using low pressure liquid casting equipment similar to that used in PU casting and exhibits excellent adhesion to phenolic paint, FBE coatings and to a number of thermoplastic coating materials.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  • Layer 1: Anti-corrosion – Fusion Bonded Epoxy / Epoxy Paint
  • Layer 2: Thermal insulation – Low pressure castable norbornene system
